Scholarship Fund

Tertiary education has an important role to play in broadening horizons and encouraging competitive thinking. We believe that a lack of resources should not preclude promising students from accessing all opportunities and developing their full potential
YTL Power Scholarship Fund was established with the objective of promoting higher education by offering scholarships to qualified students who are pursuing full-time foundation and degree courses at University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). Given the opportunity, such individuals will be able to achieve their full potential and assume leadership positions to contribute towards the nation's economic development.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Malaysian citizens
  • Good SPM & STPM (or equivalent) grades
  • A record of active participation in extra curricular activities is added advantage
  • Have obtained admission into University Tenaga Nasional for full-time foundation and degree courses.
COURSES
  • Foundation course leading to Bachelor Degree
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Mechanical
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Electrical Power
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Electrical & Electronics
CONDITION OF AWARD
Successful applications will have to enter into an Agreement to serve the Company for a stipulated period immediately upon completion of their studies.

Putrajaya Perdana Scholarship


PUTRAJAYA PERDANA BERHAD (“PPB”), an investment holding company through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, PUTRA PERDANA CONSTRUCTION Sdn Bhd and PUTRA PERDANA DEVELOPMENT Sdn Bhd, has over the years designed, developed and built several billion Ringgit worth of prestigious commercial, residential and infrastructural projects in the country.

The education of our younger generation has been an issue very close to the heart of PPB. With our annual PPB Scholarship program, we wish to provide educational opportunities to the youth of the nation and to build a better future for the deserving and needy Malaysian students who would otherwise be denied of higher education due to financial constraints.

 THE SCHOLARSHIP  
  • Offers up to RM4,000/RM7,000 per academic year for Diploma/Degree programme respectively
  • Opens to financially needy and academically deserving students who are currently pursuing/intending to pursue higher education in local public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics
  • Requires successful scholars, upon completion of their respective courses and graduation to serve as an employee of PPB or any of its subsidiaries for a minimum of 2 years (subject to vacancy availability)
 FIELDS OF STUDY
Degree/Diploma in:
  • Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Building/Construction Management
 TO QUALIFY  
  • Must be a Malaysian citizen
  • Full-time student in local university/college
  • Already gained/intended to seek acceptance into local public/private universities/colleges/ polytechnics (for new undergraduates, please submit to us via email the letter of acceptance once you received it)
  • Excellent SPM/STPM/Diploma or other relevant results
  • Currently not holding any other scholarship or receiving any financial assistance from any other organizations
TO APPLY
Completed forms with relevant documents (photo, photocopy of IC, last examinations’ results) must reach us by 6 May 2011.

Only short-listed candidates will be notified for an interview.

Malaysian Public Universities   -  RM12,000 p.a. for Medicine / Dentistry
  -  RM10,000 p.a. for other courses
Singapore Public Universities   -  RM28,000 p.a. for Medicine / Dentistry
  -  RM20,000 p.a. for other courses
 
*Diploma, Foundation and off-campus courses students are not eligible to apply
